"OIKOS "is an ancient Greek word for"a group of individuals "that was the basic social unit of most Greek city-states: production, construction, gardening, education, communication, and trading...... Every activity is based on or even completed in this physical and spiritual unit. It is the origin of the words "ecology" and "economy," as well as the sociological term used to describe "social groups that share quality face-to-face time."
In modern times, economics, ecology and sociology seem to be in conflict with each other. The absence of sociology consideration destroys the old connection between the neighbors in the new housing estates. The lack of economy makes  renovation impossible.
But they share the same origin: a way of life that sees them as one. Tomorrow, architecture should be part of the system, not as simple expression of the individual or function. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, research and interviews, technology and performance modelling, environmental impact assessment, minimum intervention principles...... We architects have the potential to create a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future.
